 Location: Goose Gear HQ, Grand Junction, CO 

 Position Summary 

A shop lead plays a crucial role in efficiently managing the shop's daily operations, ensuring the profitable operation of each department, and maintaining high-quality standards.  

 Responsibilities: 

• Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the workflow and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and timely. 
• Team Management: Assign tasks, provide feedback, and support team members in their roles. 
• Team Staffing: Hires, trains and directs the shop staff to efficiently produce products and ship orders on time. 
• Safety and Training: Conduct regular safety training and ensure compliance with safety guidelines. 
• Quality Control: Ensure the quality and quantity of work meet the required standards. 
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and order shop tools and equipment. 

 
The Shop Lead will play a crucial role in addressing issues, ensuring high levels of quality, and providing invaluable feedback to our leadership team. 

 A comprehensive understanding of our products, build of materials, assembly process and packaging will be vital. This position demands strong leadership skills and an eagerness to learn and adapt.  

 
Minimum Qualifications 

• Prior shop leader and management experience is required. 
• Hard-working, self-motivated, dedicated and detail-oriented individuals will excel in this position. 
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and production experience are essential. 
• Capability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, moving, and finger dexterity. Occasionally, tasks might require walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. 
• Experience with MRP systems is a definite advantage. 
• Enthusiasm for overlanding and the automotive off-road industry is a must. 

 
Compensation & Benefits 

• The position starts at $25 to $28/hr. 
• It's a full-time role; in-shop attendance in Grand Junction, Colorado, is mandatory.
