Staying healthy is staying happy

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been pretty crazy so far. Although things seem to be moving in the right direction, we are still a bit out from “back to normal”. I thought it would be a good idea to take a few moments to share some positive information that could give all of us a proactive way to help battle the current times.

Let’s start with a healthy lifestyle. The last thing we should be doing is hiding ourselves away to absorb the nonstop nonsense our televisions are spewing out each new day. There is a saying in life that goes something like this…a body in motion stays in motion. What that means is activity is key to a healthy body. We all don’t have to be out there running marathons or anything, but a nice hike, or a walk through the neighborhood everyday would be nice. Order a kettle bell or a small weight system…keep those muscles firing. Anything is better than nothing, and everything starts with the first step. Don’t worry about where you are in fitness, just do something everyday.

Next up…nutrition! I remember going to the store when this whole thing started and finding mobs of people with carts overflowing, and you know what? The produce section was practically full because people bought the most unhealthy food the could load into their carts. You don’t have to deny yourself from those delicious treats you love some much, but they can not replace your basic diet full of fresh veggies and lots of water. Keep the bad foods to a minimal, and feed your body the fuel it needs to stay healthy mentally and physically.

Lastly, there are a few specific supplements that we all should be taking to give our immune systems a little extra boost. Vitamin C for example is a great place to start. The vast majority of us are actually vitamin D deficient as well. So, we need to supplement that into our systems. Zinc is another one that is proven to directly help us get that boost and fight CoVid 19. Most don’t even realize that we are deficient in many of these areas, but staying topped off in these three is a great place to start!

For those of you that are supplement nerds…here’s some additional honorable mentions. Complex Bs, Echinacea, Propolis, Elderberry, and there are more a little research can get you that you may love.

Bottomline is, we need to prepare our bodies to fight. We need to do active things for our mental and physical health, we need to need to feed our bodies the fuel it needs to thrive, and of course a little extra boost done naturally is a must!
