Nature is Infectious, It's Meant to be Shared

Ever wonder what it is that calls us into nature? What is it that makes time spent outdoors so good? Well, it’s that way for me anyway. I bet if you sit silently away from the noise of our modern lives somewhere in nature, you would think so too.

I hate to admit this, but there are times when the weight of it all feels so heavy on my chest that I just want to close the world off and hide. The feeling of anxiety overwhelms my insecurities and I can’t seem to make sense of anything. It’s in those moments I need to escape...find perspective. I need to leave my daily routine and simplify my thoughts. I need to find a place that offers beauty and peace.

This may sound funny, but the order of nature helps me understand my place in this world. It reminds me of the good. It silences the chaos I often create in my own mind, and it frees me to absorb the lessons the universe is teaching me through nature.

Look, this world and all of its tragedy is a lot for any of us at times. Things seem to be moving in the wrong direction faster than we can correct course. I want to challenge you though. Get outside and find the freedom your spirit craves, find the answers your heart is searching for.

When I'm out there, I feel balance, I feel peace, I feel I belong, and I feel a fulfillment I just can’t seem to get when I’m living that “normal” life. People that love the outdoors have the opportunity every time they go out to come home different. Better actually, and that is infectious. It's to be shared.

So, the next time you come home from a few days away try and share that feeling with the world, maybe they will become better too.
